Palace Guard

The Palace Guard was established by King Callum during the early days of TinyTales Land. As the kingdom grew, so did the need to protect the Royal Family, their residences, and those who worked within the palace walls. King Callum, known for his forward-thinking and care for his people, envisioned an elite guard—one that would not only defend the monarchy but also symbolize the unity and strength of the land.

Each member of the Palace Guard, male or female, is a paid volunteer who dedicates an entire year to intense training before being assigned to a Royal Building or one of the four palaces owned by the monarchy. This year-long training is rigorous, covering everything from physical endurance and defense tactics to diplomacy and ceremonial duties. The guard’s members are trained to remain calm and composed in any situation, ensuring they are always prepared, though they have never had to use their weapons in defense of the Royals.

Interestingly, despite being formed as an elite protective force, the Palace Guard has never faced a direct threat to the Royal Family. Their reputation for unwavering vigilance and their formidable training have been enough to maintain peace within the realm. As a result, their daily duties have taken on a ceremonial nature, particularly their well-known and beloved public shift changes, which have become a spectacle for the citizens of TinyTales Land.

Though they may seem like a purely ceremonial force, the presence of the Palace Guard reassures the citizens that the Royal Family is always protected. Their stoic, disciplined demeanor and the pride they carry in their roles remind everyone of the strength and unity that King Callum envisioned for TinyTales Land. And though they have never had to raise a weapon in defense, the Palace Guard stands ready, symbolizing loyalty, honor, and the lasting peace of the kingdom.
